Mijas Golf is recognised by many as being the most successful golf facility in Europe. Opened in 1976 the team at Mijas Golf are experts in making golfers happy.
They have two truly great golf courses to offer just a few kilometres for Fuengirola.
Los Lagos is spectacular. A golf course that is a delight to play. If you elect to play it from the back tees then you are confronting a beast of 7200 yards. I suggest you select the tees that allow you to reach the par four holes with your second shot and then you enjoy one of the most sublime golf courses in Spain.
Broad fairways and rolling greens are so inviting, albeit somewhat offset by the lakes that give the course its name being ominously present on nine of the holes.
Its sister course, Los Olivos, is very different and yet equally as good . Playing Los Olivos from the back tees and building a decent score is deeply satisfying. The greens are small, often elevated and require good iron play to hit. A good short game will be an asset. From the back tees the challenge is extreme. From the other tees Los Olivos like Los Lagos is designed to make you happy offering easy bogey and hard par.
Santana
A close neighbour of Mijas Golf and only a few minutes from Fuengoirola, Santana Golf is very popular with visiting golfers from all across Europe.

Torrequebrada
Torrequebrada has a history of European Tour golf dating more than 50 years. All of the great names in European Golf from the late 1970’s through the 80’s and 90’s have played this sub tropical paradise.

The apartments are modern, clean, spacious and well equipped to make your stay comfortable. Directly opposite the Hotel is the much loved Zia Zola Italian restaurant run by Dolores and her family where you will be very well fed, watered and made a fuss of! The team at Zia Zola are great and have made the restaurant a firm favourite of all who live on Mijas Golf.
The Mijas golf clubhouse is a great place for breakfast and lunch. Very high quality food served on the terrace of the century old cortijo style clubhouse.
